GOING strawberry picking is one of my absolute favourite things about winter! I love getting into my cosy boots and taking a mini road trip out to trek around the fields. I get so excited when we reach the farms, I'll run a mile to the best rows and forage around for the reddest, plumpest strawberries. I think I eat as many as I take home. As I skip around plucking berries from their bushes, my mind files through all the recipes I could make out of these fresh gems… but somehow I never pick enough for cooking and eating. I suppose I'll just have to go back!
